What makes working with me different?

For those in service careers like yours, there is quite a bit of talk about “getting the mental health support you need” to do your job better. I’ve learned that it's easy to say but harder in practice for some.

As a 7-year Navy veteran and Active Reserve member, I understand your challenges.

I’ve been there and know how mental health support can truly help you live a life you love – and be in a better space to help and protect others.

Why choose Front Lines Wellness?

We don’t just “talk it out” in sessions…

Christina Wassenhove ESA trainer and therapist for military and first responders

I’m Christina

I’m so glad you’re here.

My mission is to help military personnel, first responders, and their families heal from past trauma and prioritize their mental wellness to better serve their community and country.

Drawing from my 7-year tenure as a Navy veteran and my ongoing service in the Active Reserve, my personal experiences in the military uniquely empower me to provide specialized support to individuals and couples who struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and relational conflicts.

In addition to counseling, I provide an online, self-paced course for those wanting to adopt, train or transition their current dog to be an emotional support animal (ESA).

An ESA is a great benefit in supporting a mental health journey. While it may not be for everyone, I am passionate about supporting those who feel they can greatly benefit from the companionship of an animal. Following completion of the course, I provide a letter for Emotional Support Animals to facilitate the ability to care for a dog and foster companionship, leading to a positive relationship with your landlord.

No matter how we connect or work together  – I know you’re already a hero to so many.
I want to empower you to become the hero of YOUR story next.
